Ana Huang is a contemporary author portraying the contemporary young adults, who are enterprising, steamy, romantic, ambitious and compassionate under hoods. Her Twisted Series is a set of four books conveying four love stories of four friends. Just as the name suggests; these are twisted romances, but all leading towards a "happily ever after".
While, I'm still reading and working on my review of the first book in the series; here is a review of Twisted Love written by my son.
"Twisted Love", the book I just completed reading is a perfect blend of thriller romance with a little tinge of comedy here and there.
I personally love all the characters and the way Ana Huang has depicted them. The love story of Ava Chen and Alex Volkov is well built and the characters shown having varied traits.
I love the toxicity in love and the urge to fight for love in this story. I love it because that's an important aspect of any relationship. Of course the relationships shouldn't get so toxic that they breed hatred and those involved start hurting each other and yet don't leave each other; that's bullshit in my opinion.
But the type of toxicity where you go against your will to save the relationship and even after being the wrong one if you go against all odds and regain the lost trust and love from the same person, then that's worth everything. And this is exactly what is the essence of Alex's love for Ava. I relate with Alex a lot as I would have done exactly the same thing as he did. I would murder anyone who's gonna ruin my life, my future and my relationship. I know I'll be hated by my girl if I broke her trust to save her life. But I'll go to any extent to regain it. I think that if the amount of toxicity you have in you and the amount of toxicity in the relationship is balanced out and you'll end up being with the same person you love throughout your life. Well, after all the hurts and heartbreaks, when everything works out well it becomes more interesting to watch the two of them maintain that same amount of love and trust in order to have a healthy and happening relationship.
